I believe that a DJ should not be the focus of the evening, after all it is your special night! We always wish to be seen and not heard. Whilst we will use the mic when we deem appropriate or as instructed by the client or venue, mic use will be kept to a minimum. We are confident our music selection gets us noticed (nor our mic) and have every confidence that your guests will be on that dance floor irrespective of their age group. We are extremely approachable and always happy to take requests and will always abide to your playlist and music brief.
On the night itself we have the ability and know how to read the dance floor to ensure your event is a success and memorable occasion for you. We appreciate an event is your party and we are compensated to ensure you have a great time. We are a non-smoker and do not drink whilst working so we can entirely focused on delivering the best party sounds according to your wishes.
What Makes A Great DJ.
Music is only part of the mix.
It takes many factors to deliver a successful event. I outline some of them below.
At JnJ Entertainments we are committed to investing in modern equipment by market leading suppliers to ensure we can provide the best experience to our customers.
We use the award winning Denon Prime 4 to play our music! Released in May 2019 it is a ground- breaking all-in-one standalone DJ system with touch screen for track selection that lets us spin with up to four decks! We have no need for a laptop as the Prime 4 has its own hard drive storage and also allows USB giving multiple music sources. As a backup we also carry iPads that we can plug in to the DJ system so allows song download of any requested song we may not be carrying. With these multiple music sources you can rest assured that your event will not end prematurely due to any equipment malfunction.
Our sounds are provided via the market leading HK Audio Lucas performer sound system which is digitally amplified to deliver an amazing clear crisp sound. Together our music and sound system cost in excess of £3200 so you can be assured we take performing seriously and invest in the best.
JnJ Entertainments use an array of lighting effects and alongside a DJ booth so you will not see any unsightly trailing cables whilst providing a chic club style look alongside ambient light effects throughout the disco.
We primarily use Chauvet DMX controlled lighting and our rig comprises of Chauvet DJ Gig Bar that combines 4 essential lighting fixtures mounted on a single control bar. The system includes a pair of LED Derby style effect lights, a pair of LED pars, a laser and strobe effects to provide a phenomenal built in automated and sound activated programs that include all 4 lighting effects to make one complete show. This is complimented by 2 x Intimidator Spot Duo providing 4 fully independently controllable moving head lights with independent colour and gobo wheels that creates numerous projections and mid-air effects. These are mounted on our speaker poles sitting cleanly under our satellite speakers. Lastly, we add an American DJ disco ball that projects varying beams of light around the venue. Our Chauvet lighting rig used in combination with a haze machine brings a true night club vibe to our light show at no additional cost to our customers. Our DJ booth has a black star cloth cover (which can also be customised to white) that can provide either a twinkling, fade or static effect for a sharp professional finish.
For kid’s discos we use 2x Chauvet 4 Play 4 head DMX LED lighting units where the 4 heads each provide a razor sharp rotating LED moonflower effect using red, blue, green and white colours. It provides a wow factor light show that the kids will love!
If you take our wedding package this set-up includes Ekho LED PAR 64 up-lighting – fantastic DMX controlled effect that can provide subtle mood lighting experience that gives a wash of colour at your event in 8 colour variations!

Unlike other DJ’s we do not charge extra for additional lighting, haze or bubble machines. The price quoted is inclusive and starts at £245 for 4 ½ hour disco ending by midnight. We of course are more than happy to party on into the early hours. Parties continuing past midnight are subject to an additional charge.
Provide us with a playlist of tunes you want to hear and we guarantee to play them during your party/event. On average we can play approx. 16-20 tracks per hour.
Filling The Floor?
So how do you guarantee your dancefloor will be rocking? Apart from playing your requested tunes from your playlist we also need YOU! on the dancefloor. If your guest’s see you on the dance floor they will inevitably join you by being first will help get the party started and ensure people feel more relaxed. Remember this is your night so do make sure you enjoy yourself and have a good boogie and don’t get to concerned with trying to speak with everyone of your guests which could mean you are at either the bar for long periods or sitting down most for the evening.
It is also a sensible idea to locate any additional entertainment such as photobooths in close proximity to the dancefloor. You will probably find the booth props end up being worn on the dancefloor which just adds to the atmosphere.
Probably our top tip to get everyone dancing? If you are dancing, then your guests will follow suit! If you are sitting down in the bar all night, guess what your guests will also be doing?…
This does not mean you need to be dancing all night long! Leading by example really does help everyone relax and join in the fun!
